These very small newly coopered barrels are supplied with a stand and a tap as shown in the photograph.
This 3Litre ornamental miniature oak barrel is hand coopered in the traditional way using the finest quality seasoned oak staves which are bent over a fire and lightly toasted.
They can be easily filled via the wooden bung visible on the top of the barrel. They could be used to bring a touch of authenticity to your bar top and would make an unusual present for the home brew or wine enthusiast. Ideal for the home wine maker or for storing wine or spirits so you may serve your drinks from this lovely ornamental barrel.
Each one has black painted hoop iron and is lacquered externally.The influence of oak on wine or cider creates a stronger, deeper flavour, these small casks have a large surface area to volume ratio which means alcohol can be matured faster than alcohol from a large cask.
