An oak barrel fitted with a working cast-iron village pump.

 

Pump barrels have a notched top, i.e. an entry hole located behind the pump at the back of the barrel to allow filling from a drainpipe. They can also be supplied with a rainsaver diverter.

 

These barrels are available in nominal 40, 56 and 100-gallon sizes.

 

The village pumps are operated by cranking the handle to draw water from the barrel.

 

Please note that buckets are not included with pump barrels.

Rainsaver Diverters

An easy way to connect your water butt to a downpipe. This device diverts water from the downpipe to the water butt until the water butt is full. Any further water passes straight down the downpipe.

No need for notches or lids. Barrel is supplied with a screwed connection point when purchased with a diverter.
