Henri Water Feature Winter Care
How do I care for my Henri Water Feature during the winter?
At the end of the season, drain (most have the drainage plug fitted) clean and dry the fountain's sufaces.
If possible, store indoors or in a facility which is not exposed to freezing temperatures.
If it is not possible to store indoors, or it is too big, use old blankets or towels inside all of the bowls so that the condensation is absorbed keeping it away from the stone surfaces, then cover with a suitable Kelkay fountain cover. Ensure the cover is straight and taught so that no water or snow can pool and that the base is standing on a well-drained area so that no water or snow can pool around it. You may need to remove the fountain's top section in some cases and place it in the lower bowl so that it doesn't get knocked off during placement or removal of the fountain cover.
What other care does my Henri water feature require?
Maintain a constant water level - this will prevent the pump from burning out since the water flow cools it down.
Prevent debris from falling in the water, this can stain and also clog the pump.
